Mintek has an exciting career opportunity for a SHEQ Officer. The SHEQ Officer oversees Mintek’s medium Safety and Health Risk divisions as well as other low risk divisions are included in this portfolio. This will be done by maintaining and coordinating the SHEQ activities of Mintek’s SHEQ-MS within the Cluster/Division, in accordance with the ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards; where applicable ISO17025, ISO17034, ISO13485 etc.

• Document, implement and maintain a Divisional SHEQ management system in
• accordance with the ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards and
• applicable legislation.
• Coordinate the training activities within the Division.
• Manage the surveillance and monitoring activities within the Division.
• Coordinate the waste management activities within the Division.
• Manage the risk identification, assessment, prevention and mitigation control activities
• within the Division.
• Be pro-active in maintaining and improving the quality of the Division
• Guide the Division to continuously improve quality and maintain quality consciousness.
• Observe training gaps in the Division and be pro-active in training staff on all SHEQ
• aspects.
